nev johnson

Junior college basketball has become a popular landing spot for Division one transfers. 6’5 wing Nevin Johnson is a prime example of this. The 2013 wing from Houston, TX played his freshman season at the University of Creighton. His sophomore season he decided to transfer down to JUCO in hopes of landing at another Division 1, with a better situation.

New Mexico JC is under the direction of James Miller, and had a great team this season going 27-7. NMJC also had an appearance in the 2014 National Tournament. On the season, he started most ever game while averaging 9ppg. Johnson is wing with good size, great at attacking the basket, and can also knock down shots.

Nevin is currently getting recruited from both the Mid Major and Low Major level’s. As of now, his only visit has been to Portland St. Johnson has already graduated from NMJC with an Associates Degree.
